Seven Hills Academy awarded a grant from the Air Force Association
Through the efforts of our science teacher, Mrs. Ballman, Seven Hills Academy has been awarded a grant from the Air Force Association in the amount of $200. She has earmarked these funds to take a combination of 20 middle school students to the Challenger Learning Center. On March 8, 2012, the students will take part in a mini-mission aboard the Space Station Simulator and the Mission Control
Simulator where they will fly the mission "Voyage to Mars". This is one of three space simulations available at the Center. Participants can also rendezvous with a comet or take a trip to the Moon. The students will work together as a team to complete a successful Mars mission. They will also have an opportunity to enjoy the IMAX presentation of "Space Junk". This wonderful field trip will end with a picnic lunch on the grounds.
We thank Mrs. Ballman for her work in applying for this grant and the Air Force Association for selecting Seven Hills Academy as a recipient.
